The Role of Belief in Mahdism

The Role of Belief in Mahdism
Belief in Mahdism and in the existence of the Awaited Imam Mahdi (may our souls be ransom for him) revives hope in our hearts. He who believes in this doctrine never loses hope. Why? Because he knows for sure that there is an imminent bright future lying ahead. That is why he eagerly waits, endeavors, moves forward and fights the difficulties. Suppose, a nation is under the hegemony of an oppressive power and it has no hope also, in such a circumstance, it has no alternative but to surrender. If it does not surrender, it just simply resorts to some blind and pointless actions. And if a nation or a community has hope and know that a good future beckons them, what do they do? Naturally, they will struggle and carry on with their combat in an organized manner, and if there is a hindrance on their way of combats, they will remove it. This is the belief with which Shi'ah has lived on and passed ups and down.
