Du'a of the 12th Imam (a.s.) for the month of Rajab

Du'a of the 12th Imam (a.s.) for the month of Rajab

Concerning this du'a 'Allamah Jawaad al Mulki al Tabreezi (alayh rahmah) says that it is a du'a that by it many doors of knowledge are opened for those that are worthy.Shaykh al-Tusi has related that this noble writing came out of the Sacred Precinct on the hand of that great Shaykh,
Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Uthmaan ibn Sa'id - may God be pleased with him. Recite it on each day of the month of Rajab.

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
bismi all¡hi alrra¦m¡ni alrra¦¢mi

O Allah, I implore You in the name of the meanings of all the names by which You are prayed by Your representatives,
all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka bima`¡n¢ jam¢`i m¡ yad`£ka bih¢ wulatu amrika

the trustees with Your secret,
alma'm£n£na `al¡ sirrika

the conveyers of Your affairs,
almustabshir£na bi'amrika

the describers of Your power,
alw¡¥if£na liqudratika

and the announcers of Your greatness.
almu`lin£na li`a¨amatika

I implore You by Your will that has manifested itself through them
as'aluka bim¡ na§aqa f¢him min mash¢'atika

and thus You have made them the essences of Your Words,
faja`altahum ma`¡dina likalim¡tika

the indications to Your Oneness,
wa ark¡nan litaw¦¢dika

the signs leading to You, and Your Standings that are non-stop
wa ¡y¡tika wa maq¡m¡tika allat¢ l¡ ta`§¢la lah¡

in each place where those who recognize You could only recognize You through them.
f¢ kulli mak¡nin ya`rifuka bih¡ man `arafaka

No difference between You and them save that they are Your servants and creatures.
l¡ farqa baynaka wa baynah¡ ill¡ annahum `ib¡duka wa khalquka

The opening and the closing of all things are in Your hand alone.
fatquh¡ wa ratquh¡ biyadika

The inauguration and the conclusion of all things belong to You alone.
bad'uh¡ minka wa `awduh¡ ilayka

(They are thus only) supporters, witnesses,
a`¤¡dun wa ashh¡dun

wishing (Your mercy), protecting (Your religion),
wa mun¡tun wa adhw¡dun

saving (Your laws), and pioneers (to the obedience to You).
wa ¦afa¨atun wa ruww¡dun

With them have You filled Your heavens and earth
fabihim mala'ta sam¡'aka wa ar¤aka

until it has become obvious that there is no god save You.
¦att¡ ¨ahara an l¡ il¡ha ill¡ anta

I thus implore You in the name of all this,
fabidh¡lika as'aluka

in the name of the sites of dignity in Your mercy,
wa bimaw¡qi`i al`izzi min ra¦matika

in the name of Your standings and Signs,
wa bimaq¡m¡tika wa `al¡m¡tika

to send blessings to Mu¦ammad and his Household
an tu¥alliya `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡lih¢

and increase my faith and firmness.
wa an taz¢dan¢ ¢m¡nan wa tathb¢tan

O He Who is Immanent in His Evidence!

O He Who is Evident in His Immanence and in His hiddenness!

O He Who sets apart light from murk!
y¡ mufarriqan bayna alnn£ri walddayj£ri

O He Whom is described without recognition of his real essence!

and He Whom is recognized without having anything like Him!
wa ma`r£fan bighayri shibhin

O Edger of all edged things!
¦¡dda kulli ma¦d£din

O Witness of all done things!
wa sh¡hida kulli mashh£din

O Bringer into being all existent things!
wa m£jida kulli mawj£din

O Knower of the number of all countable things!
wa mu¦¥iya kulli ma`d£din

O Knower of the place of all lost things!
wa f¡qida kulli mafq£din

None is worshipped except You.
laysa d£naka min ma`b£din

You are the worthiest of all pride and magnanimity.
ahla alkibriy¡‘i walj£di

O He about Whom, it is infeasible to as ‘how’
y¡ man l¡ yukayyafu bikayfin

and it is infeasible to ask ‘where’!
wa l¡ yu'ayyanu bi-aynin

O He Who is concealed from all sights!
y¡ mu¦tajiban `an kulli `aynin

O Everlasting, O Self-Subsistent, O Knower of all known things!
